The Wells Visual Arts Department cordially invites members of our school community to join us for our 4th Annual IB Visual Arts Exhibition. The opening day will take place on Friday, March 20 from 11 AM to 2 PM in the Wells On Nut Campus Gymnasium, and the exhibition will be displayed from the 20th through the 27th of March in our front lobby.

The exhibition is the final assessment of our Class of 2020 IB Visual Arts students. They have exerted a great deal of effort, time and care into their artwork and portfolio and thus, we would like to take this opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments, creativity and hard work.

Student exhibitors from the Class of 2020 include Lucy and Ling, our IBDP students, along with Nick, Minami, Kayo, Sandy, Haruna, and Ern. Art pieces created by students from primary through high school will also be exhibited during this time, showcasing the various talents and creativity throughout our Wells community.

The opening day of the exhibition will include a large display of  student-created artwork, a student organization booth fair, performances, and light refreshments. We hope to see you there!
Update: Due to COVID-19 concerns, we will not be able to accommodate any outside guests for this event as originally planned, but we will be posting photos and videos on our website after the event to share with the community.

On Tuesday, October 3, the IB Visual Arts classes visited an exhibition of 3 renowned Colombian artists at Chulalongkorn University. Our school received an invitation from Madame Astrid Amaya, the wife of the ambassador of Colombia to witness and appreciate the works of artists from Colombia. “Winds of Peace” is an exhibition focused on celebrating the end of a war conflict in Colombia, a moment that impacted Colombia’s history. The recognition of this historic achievement has manifested itself in different ways, including a Nobel Peace Prize given the President of the Republic of Colombia, Dr. Juan Manuel Santos.
This was a great opportunity for our students to interview and learn from the artist, Mario Ayerbe, face-to-face.  It helped to open doors for learning, inquiring, communicating and other attributes of a Visual Arts IBDP student.
