The young astronomers of �ۿ۴�ý, represented by our curious K3 students, embarked on an awe-inspiring journey to the planetarium. Here, they delved into the mysteries of the cosmos, immersing themselves in a captivating exploration of space. This remarkable visit not only ignited their imaginations but also deepened their understanding of our language arts theme.
Immersed in a world of wonder, �ۿ۴�ý students were captivated by mesmerizing narratives and stunning visuals that illuminated the secrets of the planets and the moon. Their curiosity soared as they explored the vast expanse of the universe, each discovery fueling their thirst for knowledge and exploration.
Following this stellar experience, our journey continued into the depths of the science museum building, where �ۿ۴�ý students encountered a treasure trove of inventions and artifacts from the prehistoric era. From ancient tools to fossilized remains, they marveled at the ingenuity and creativity of our ancestors, gaining insights into the evolution of human civilization.
But the adventure didn’t end there! Venturing into another section of the museum, �ۿ۴�ý students were greeted by the fascinating world of bugs, where they discovered the diversity and complexity of insect life. From delicate butterflies to industrious ants, each creature captured their imagination and set the stage for our upcoming theme exploration.

Thursday, June 15, Wells Thong Lo celebrated International Day ��Celebration of Culture��. It was an exciting event where young children come together to explore and appreciate the diversity of our world. It was a joyful occasion that highlights the customs, traditions, and heritage of different cultures in a fun and interactive way.

This celebration not only introduces young children to the beauty of cultural diversity but also helps them develop a positive sense of identity. They learn to embrace their own cultural heritage while respecting and valuing the cultures of their peers.

Wells Thong Lo | Songkran Splash Festival 2023

Songkran is Thailand��s most famous festival and a favorite here at Wells Thong Lor. Every year our school community works together to make it a success and this year was no exception. To mark the beginning of the traditional Thai New Year Wells students from all over the globe paid respect to and celebrated Thai culture. They performed traditional Thai dances before participating in the water ceremony, where students wished their teachers a happy Songkran in the traditional way by pouring water and jasmine petals over their hands.? Songkran is a time to cleanse and pay respects but also to let loose in wild water fights. The support staff at Wells Thong Lor worked extremely hard in transforming our school playground into a water park. The students and teachers made their way around a variety of events including the ��slip n slide��, ��pool games, and ��water slide��, not forgetting the ����ܲ԰졯 where students got the chance to dunk their teacher, this proved to be a favorite. Thank you to all our students, parents, teachers, and support staff at Wells Thong Lor! What a fantastically fun Songkran full of smiles, laughter, and a lot of water! Wishing all of our families a wonderful and safe holiday. We will see you on Monday 17th April. ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ??

Wells Thong Lo Campus celebrates 2023 Lunar New Year (Year of the Rabbit). We kicked off the event with our Mandarin class students’ performances. As usual, the highlight of the event is the lion dance. Students were especially excited to feed oranges to the lion. A special thank you to our Grade 2 students for hosting the events and sharing with us Mandarin and English translations of the traditions of the Chinese New year. ? Students enjoyed the later part of the event with lots of rabbit-themed games and activities during Fun Friday.?

Extracurricular activities are a great way for students to participate in a safe and productive environment after school has ended. When the bell rings, it doesn��t mean your child��s day is over. In fact, that time after school is filled with ample opportunities for your child to continue their development. After school activities are all about variety. There are many different programs to explore in order to find the right fit for your child. Your child may not always enjoy the first activity they try, but don��t worry, there are plenty more to explore and it is guaranteed they will find one they like. When children have a clear idea of their hobbies and interests from an early age, it can help them make better decisions for their future. Activities are much more than a way to fill time after school, they can tell you and your child a lot about their likes and dislikes along with their strengths and developmental opportunities. After school activities are shown to provide a number of benefits for your child. Getting involved in activities is shown to help children be more extroverted and responsible. Children are overall happier and healthier when they are engaged in things they enjoy doing.

Wells Thong Lo | K1A Parachute Game

In PE class, the K1 kindergarten students had fun playing the parachute games here at Well Thong Lo. Aside from being engaged in physical activities, the students were able to boost their social and cooperative play skills. They also improved their listening skills as well and developed upper body strength as they play with others. Overall in PE, we assure their safety and quality learning to be a fun-filled experience amid the COVID19 pandemic. We encourage them to be physically active, healthy individuals and lifelong learners.

Wells Thong Lo| Grade 1 Field Trip at Phra Khanong Fire Station

On Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd of November, the Grade 1 students from Wells Thong Lor?had the opportunity to visit Phra Khanong Fire Station. They set off in the morning excited for the day ahead.?

Once they arrived, one of the first things the students were told was that most of the calls the fire station receives is from people finding a snake in their house! The firemen then took a rescued snake out of a cage to show the students. The students were then led into the control room where the calls come into. The firemen reenacted an emergency call and raised the alarm. The tour continued into a dark room where students were taught what to do in case of a fire, they were shown the fire engines and even got to put out some real fires using a hose and fire extinguisher.

Wells Thong Lo : Loy Krathong 2019

As most of you all know, last week got started off with a special Thai holiday, Loy Kratong.? This year��s celebration was a little bit different from past Loy Kratong days at Wells in that the children were allowed to participate in a number of activity stations which allowed them a chance to get the full cultural experience of the holiday.? In one such station the children were allowed to play some traditional Thai games.? Students was led by Ms. Khem in a Thai version of ��London Bridges�� and in this game (just like in the London Bridges version) two of the kids held hands together high in the air, thus creating a bridge.? Then the other children formed a line and tried to pass under their bridge until the music stopped and the bridge collapsed and trapped one unsuspecting child.? And of course, once a child got caught, it was then his/her job to form a new bridge for the remaining children to pass under.

In another Loy Kratong station, our students were allowed to experience some traditional Thai foods such as Somtam, homemade Ice Cream, ��Thai Khanom�� and more.? In this station they were also allowed one toy for their keeping.? Our students also got a break from heat of the playground in one of their stations where they were allowed to enter one of the K-2 rooms and put together their own Kratong (taught by Ms. Candy).? And once their Kratong was finished, (as is Thai tradition) they were allowed to released it into the body of water next to the stage.

It was great to see so many smiling faces, and thank you to all the parents for joining us and making it a special occasion.
