On November 11 2017, Wells held aÌýsoapÌýmakingÌýworkshop hosted by . This project was a collaboration between Love Ocean Life club and Greenhawks, both of which are clubs that focus on protection and conservation of the environment. CommercialÌýsoapÌýcan contain harmful carcinogens such as Sodium Laureth Sulfate which can not only be harmful to the human body but also to the environment as these chemicals move from our drainage pipes and end up in the rivers and the oceans. Hence, with thisÌýsoapÌýmakingÌýworkshop, the students learned how to makeÌýsoapÌýusing vegetable oil which is a more environmentally friendly alternative to the commercial soaps.
