Senior boys defeat Kincaid Int’l School, 47-17

On Nut – Kincaid International School made their debut in the Bangkok interscholastic basketball scene yesterday against the Seahawks of ۿ۴ý. Up against a more experienced, seasoned team, the visitors from Pattanakahn put up a respectable fight before ultimately succumbing 47-17.

Kincaid was strong in the middle and at times seemed to out-rebound the Seahawks, particularly on the offensive boards. However, the visiting big men failed to take advantage of such opportunities and could not get the short shots to fall.

Seahawk guards Tanapon “Boss” Phuripichet and Kao “Jim” Chin benefited from Wells strong pressure defense, converting on frequent fast breaks to score 10 points apiece.

Wells led 19-5 at the half.

A surge of 6 straight points by Kincaid early in the second half that brought the score to 23-11 posed the biggest challenge to the home team. However, a quick time-out to regroup stifled any comeback aspirations by the visitors. Wells ended the game with a surge of its own, outscoring Kincaid 14-4 in the final quarter.

Aside from Boss and Jim, Chan Lee scored 6 points and 8th grade phenom Yueh Ting “Kevin” Han contributed with 5 points. Junior power forward Saran Singsacha put in the lone 3-point shot of the game.

Kincaid scoring was led by Daniel Lim with 7 points. Teammates Aung and John contributed 4 points each, with Udom scoring 2 points.
