�ۿ۴�ý’s 25th Anniversary and Chonburi Grand Opening

Friday, June 7th, was a day to remember for all at �ۿ۴�ý! The Wells School celebrated its 25th Anniversary and the Grand Opening of the Chonburi campus. It was a day filled with excitement, celebration, and reflection as we opened our doors to our guests, students, and parents for a memorable event.

Dr Chang Yao-Lang, the Chairman of Everclever Education Group, opened the ceremony with a heartfelt speech, welcoming our community members and valued guests from abroad. We were honored to host guests from the University of Yangon, the Banbueng Mayor’s office, representatives of the Taipei Economic & Cultural Office in Thailand, the Chonburi Ministry of Education, and representatives from Villa Forest.

All the participants and visitors were amazed by our students’ performances, such as the traditional Thai dances, the repertoires of the senior and junior choirs, the band’s enthralling renditions of well-known songs, and the dance performances.

Esteemed guests came to celebrate the day with us and honored us with profound speeches. Industry leaders, such as Mr. Chang Chun-Fu, the Representative of the Taipei Economic & Cultural Office in Thailand, highlighted the significance of our school in the community. Mr. Surasit Nithiwutthiworak, the Project Advisor & Representative of Villa Forest, spoke about our close partnership with Villa Forest, and how we look forward to many more years of mutual growth and collaboration. Mr Tonn from Academy Fantasia and a Wells Alumni from 2010 shared fond memories of his days as a Wells student. Lastly, a pivotal member of the school leadership team, Dr. Ray de la Pena, talked about our beloved school and what makes it so special.

The grand finale had our Chairman and community members participate in the ribbon cutting ceremony. The cascade of firecrackers outside added to the excitement of the day as all the guests gathered downstairs for refreshments and shared in the success of the day.

As we concluded our Grand Opening and 25th Anniversary celebration, each and every Wells teacher, staff and leadership member were filled with pride and gratitude. This event was about reflecting on our past and also celebrating the partnerships and community spirit that have brought us this far. The unveiling of our new facilities and the shared moments of joy have set the stage for a bright future. Thank you to everyone who joined us. Here’s to the next 25 years of excellence and growth.

Embarking on Cosmic Adventures: K3 Students Explore the Universe at the Planetarium

The young astronomers of �ۿ۴�ý, represented by our curious K3 students, embarked on an awe-inspiring journey to the planetarium. Here, they delved into the mysteries of the cosmos, immersing themselves in a captivating exploration of space. This remarkable visit not only ignited their imaginations but also deepened their understanding of our language arts theme.
Immersed in a world of wonder, �ۿ۴�ý students were captivated by mesmerizing narratives and stunning visuals that illuminated the secrets of the planets and the moon. Their curiosity soared as they explored the vast expanse of the universe, each discovery fueling their thirst for knowledge and exploration.
Following this stellar experience, our journey continued into the depths of the science museum building, where �ۿ۴�ý students encountered a treasure trove of inventions and artifacts from the prehistoric era. From ancient tools to fossilized remains, they marveled at the ingenuity and creativity of our ancestors, gaining insights into the evolution of human civilization.
But the adventure didn’t end there! Venturing into another section of the museum, �ۿ۴�ý students were greeted by the fascinating world of bugs, where they discovered the diversity and complexity of insect life. From delicate butterflies to industrious ants, each creature captured their imagination and set the stage for our upcoming theme exploration.
As we reflect on our enriching field trip to the planetarium and science museum, we, the students of �ۿ۴�ý, are reminded of the boundless curiosity and wonder that defines childhood. It is through experiences like these that we not only learn about the world around us but also develop a sense of awe and appreciation for the marvels of the universe.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the planetarium staff for providing us with such a captivating and educational experience. Their dedication to inspiring young minds is truly commendable and has left a lasting impression on us, the students of �ۿ۴�ý.

Wells Chonburi K1 Students at the Fire Station

On Friday, February 23rd, the �ۿ۴�ý Chonburi campus students spent an exciting morning at the local fire station. This was a super special day because the Wells K1 students were all able to see where firefighters work and learn all about their important jobs.

Our Kindergarten 1 students climbed into the school vans, buckled up and took the short trip to the fire station. As they got there, the firefighters greeted them with big smiles. The firefighters showed our students around the station, and they got to see the big fire truck.

The little students learned about all the different equipment firefighters use and got to try on some hats and practice holding some equipment. Our students were so excited and eager to take turns trying new things. It was so exciting when the students held onto the water hose and watched the water spray out. The kindergarteners were brave enough to try all the new experiences on that day.

The firefighters at the BanBueng municipality were amazing at hosting this field trip. The day was made very special because of all the exciting things they had planned for our students. They are real superheroes! Thank you, BanBueng municipality firefighters! We hope to visit again real soon.

Grade 2 Field Trip: Unveiling the Secrets of The Royal Thai Mint

The International Baccalaureate, Primary Years Program, encourages students and teachers to make connections to real world contexts, strengthening learning and understanding. This supports the inquiry process, and allows students to “go further”, fostering a greater understanding of the world around them.

In the current unit, students have explored the transdisciplinary theme “How we organize ourselves”, which is an inquiry into the interconnectedness of human-made systems. The central or main idea for Grade 2 is “Money is a system that gives value to goods and services”. Under this central idea we have explored lines of inquiry into banks, money, spending, saving, budgets, being responsible with money and concepts such as demand and supply. As part of each unit, students are encouraged to take action and will do that by raising money for charity through the organization of a big event at the culmination of the unit.

On their field trip to the Royal Thai Mint, the children learned all about the coin creation process, starting from initial sketches to the final coin press. While we were at the Royal Thai Mint, students put the staff through their paces with their challenging inquiries. An example of which was “how do they go from a large design to a print on a small coin?” The answer is truly fascinating indeed.

The benefits of this captivating field trip were extensive, leaving the children full of newfound knowledge and anticipation for the adventures that await in their next unit of inquiry.

Welcoming the Year of the Dragon: Wells Thong Lo Campus Celebrates 2024 Lunar New Year!

At Wells Thong Lo Campus, the spirit of celebration and cultural appreciation was in full swing as we welcomed the auspicious Year of the Dragon during the 2024 Lunar New Year festivities. It was a joyous occasion marked by vibrant performances, traditional dances, and cherished moments shared among students, parents, and teachers.
The event commenced with mesmerizing performances by our Mandarin class students, who captivated the audience with their talent and dedication. The graceful fan dance presented by our lovely parents and their dance teacher added an elegant touch to the celebrations, filling the air with beauty and grace.
However, the true highlight of the day was the eagerly anticipated lion dance, a symbol of prosperity, good luck, and protection. Students were filled with excitement as they eagerly fed oranges to the lion, a traditional gesture believed to bring blessings and fortune in the new year.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to our Grade 2 students for their exemplary hosting skills, as they eloquently shared the traditions of Chinese New Year in both Mandarin and English translations. Their efforts not only educated but also enriched the entire community, fostering cross-cultural understanding and appreciation.
As the festivities continued, students immersed themselves in a variety of dog-themed games, embracing the symbolism of the zodiac animal for the year. Laughter and joy filled the air as friendships were forged and memories were made, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all.
May the Year of the Dragon bring prosperity, happiness, and success to each and every one of you.

Our Grade 1 students welcomed the entire school community with balloons, gifts, and an extra touch of magic that made the day truly unforgettable. Their enthusiasm radiated throughout the campus, creating an atmosphere of celebration and camaraderie among students, teachers, and staff alike.
To make the occasion even more special, our school community was greeted by some unexpected guests—a majestic unicorn and the beloved character Mario. The appearance of these iconic figures added an extra layer of whimsy and wonder to the festivities, sparking delight and smiles wherever they went.
Students from every class poured their hearts and imaginations into designing and decorating their shirts, transforming them into colorful canvases that reflected their unique personalities, interests, and aspirations. The result was a kaleidoscope of creativity that filled our campus with joy and inspiration.

Wells Kids Spread Holiday Happiness with Christmas Carols at Bangkok’s Samitivej Hospital

The students of �ۿ۴�ý spread Christmas joy at two hospitals recently. Both the Bang Na and Thong Lo campuses visited Samitivej Hospital to share the joy of Christmas through their cheerful voices. These primary students brought smiles and warmth to the hospital environment with their sweet renditions of classic holiday songs. The simple act of the children singing showcased the true spirit of the season and highlighted how even small gestures can make a big difference in brightening the holiday season for those in need. The visit was a beautiful reminder of the power of kindness and community, leaving behind a lasting impression of warmth and happiness at Samitivej Hospital.

Our K2 students worked hard to showcase their talents and creativity on Friday, December 1,2023. From heartwarming acts to delightful displays of skill, the showcase promised to be a memorable event for both parents and students alike. The stage came alive with the energy and enthusiasm of our young stars, creating a joyful atmosphere that resonates with the spirit of our vibrant K2 community.

To add a flavorful twist to the day, we invited our K2 families for a picnic potluck following the showcase. Parents enjoyed the showcase, indulged in the food, and took part in the vibrant conversations that made the day even more enjoyable.

The participation and enthusiasm of all made our community vibrant and dynamic!

Happy Loy Krathong Day! The spirit of this vibrant festival came alive at �ۿ۴�ý as our students adorned themselves in traditional Thai attire, embracing the rich cultural heritage of one of Thailand’s grandest celebrations.
The festivities kicked off with a heartfelt speech about Loy Krathong delivered by our insightful Grade 1 students. Their words set the tone for a day filled with cultural immersion and joyous celebration. Following this, our talented students graced the stage with a captivating Loy Krathong dance performance, drawing everyone into the beauty of this traditional Thai festival. The joy was contagious, and soon, students and staff joined in, dancing together in unison, creating a lively and festive atmosphere.
But the celebration didn’t stop there. Various stations were set up to engage everyone in the richness of Loy Krathong traditions. Students had the opportunity to learn the intricate art of crafting Krathong from lotus leaves, a hands-on experience that connected them to the cultural roots of the festival.
A special note of gratitude goes out to all the parents who actively participated, contributing to the success of this special occasion. Your involvement made Loy Krathong Day at �ۿ۴�ý a truly memorable and enriching experience for everyone.

At �ۿ۴�ý Bang Na, we will forever treasure the memories of this beautiful day. The Loy Krathong festivities provided a wonderful opportunity to delve into Thai traditions and celebrate in unison with the school community. We feel privileged to have been a part of such a special event.

The day kicked off with a splendid parade that was a riot of colors and excitement. Students, teachers, and parents adorned themselves in traditional Thai costumes, and the krathong were exquisitely decorated. Following the parade, enchanting dance performances took center stage. The talent of our school’s students shone brightly as they performed traditional Thai dances, embodying the spirit of Thai traditions. The vibrant parade and graceful dance performances combined to create a joyous and culturally enriching experience.

The sense of togetherness during the Loy Krathong celebration was palpable. It was heartening to witness everyone coming together, fostering a feeling of belonging and happiness throughout this special event.
