International Day is a day for the entire school to come together and celebrate the diversity of our student, teacher, and staff population, as well as recognize, appreciate and learn about other cultures around the world. This event nicely aligns with our ESLR of Global Citizenship and the IB concept of ‘international mindedness’. In an increasingly diverse world, our goal is to continue to remain open-minded to worldwide diversity and differences, and to practice acceptance and respect as an international attitudes.

Date: Friday, October 19th, 2018

Time: 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Location: ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ – On Nut Campus

Theme: Wells World Festivals

Join us in celebration of diverse festivals from around the globe, learning about and understanding cultures through their traditions and meanings behind their respective festivals. There will be interactive booths, activities, workshops, performances, and a range of international food!

All of the proceeds will be donated to , in support of their home and upcoming event, on Saturday, November 17th.

The theme for International Day 2018 was ‘International Attitudes’. Our international mindedness stems from the attitudes we hold about international cultures and places. This year, we celebrated the various attitudes and mindsets that contribute towards making the world a better place, as reflected in our school  and IB Learner Profile. Whether these are characteristics displayed by great leaders and figures, or national or worldwide perspectives, our attitudes are the way in which we can come together to understand differences and maintain peace for a brighter future.

International Day 2018 was a huge success! It was a big day of collaboration, community, and celebration among all of our staff, students, and parents. There was a diverse array of student and teacher performances, ethnic foods, many student led booths and fun activities, and parent-led workshops!
