�ۿ۴�ý marked a significant milestone in our academic journey: the celebration of 100 Days of School. Our Grade 1 students welcomed the entire school community with balloons, gifts, and an extra touch of magic that made the day truly unforgettable. Their enthusiasm radiated throughout the campus, creating an atmosphere of celebration and camaraderie among students, teachers, and staff alike.
To make the occasion even more special, our school community was greeted by some unexpected guests—a majestic unicorn and the beloved character Mario. The appearance of these iconic figures added an extra layer of whimsy and wonder to the festivities, sparking delight and smiles wherever they went.
Students from every class poured their hearts and imaginations into designing and decorating their shirts, transforming them into colorful canvases that reflected their unique personalities, interests, and aspirations. The result was a kaleidoscope of creativity that filled our campus with joy and inspiration.
As we reflect on the significance of 100 Days of School, we are reminded of the remarkable progress and growth that our students have achieved since the beginning of the academic year. Each day has been a stepping stone towards academic excellence, personal development, and the pursuit of knowledge.

Our K2 students worked hard to showcase their talents and creativity on Friday, December 1,2023. From heartwarming acts to delightful displays of skill, the showcase promised to be a memorable event for both parents and students alike. The stage came alive with the energy and enthusiasm of our young stars, creating a joyful atmosphere that resonates with the spirit of our vibrant K2 community.

To add a flavorful twist to the day, we invited our K2 families for a picnic potluck following the showcase. Parents enjoyed the showcase, indulged in the food, and took part in the vibrant conversations that made the day even more enjoyable.

The participation and enthusiasm of all made our community vibrant and dynamic!

Happy Loy Krathong Day! The spirit of this vibrant festival came alive at �ۿ۴�ý as our students adorned themselves in traditional Thai attire, embracing the rich cultural heritage of one of Thailand’s grandest celebrations.
The festivities kicked off with a heartfelt speech about Loy Krathong delivered by our insightful Grade 1 students. Their words set the tone for a day filled with cultural immersion and joyous celebration. Following this, our talented students graced the stage with a captivating Loy Krathong dance performance, drawing everyone into the beauty of this traditional Thai festival. The joy was contagious, and soon, students and staff joined in, dancing together in unison, creating a lively and festive atmosphere.
But the celebration didn’t stop there. Various stations were set up to engage everyone in the richness of Loy Krathong traditions. Students had the opportunity to learn the intricate art of crafting Krathong from lotus leaves, a hands-on experience that connected them to the cultural roots of the festival.
A special note of gratitude goes out to all the parents who actively participated, contributing to the success of this special occasion. Your involvement made Loy Krathong Day at �ۿ۴�ý a truly memorable and enriching experience for everyone.

�ۿ۴�ý Triumphs at 2023 FOBISIA Varsity Volleyball Tournament

Our Seahawk volleyball teams have once again showcased remarkable skill and team spirit at the prestigious 2023 FOBISIA Varsity Volleyball Tournament, hosted by Shrewsbury International School this past weekend. This marks the second consecutive year of Wells’ participation in this 3-day event.

The Federation of British International Schools in Asia (FOBISIA) tournament brought together teams from across the region.

**Seahawk Boys: A Dominating Force**

Wells’ boys’ volleyball team, known for its prowess, continued its winning streak. They remained undefeated in pool play, overpowering teams from Bangkok Prep, Rugby School Thailand, Epsom College, and Shrewsbury Team B. The knockout phase saw them triumph over Wellington College Shanghai and Potisarn Pittayakorn in the semifinals. The championship match against Bangkok Prep was arguably the best-played match of the season, with Wells clinching the gold medal, winning 3-0 (25-11, 25-14, 25-14).

The boys’ team featured a blend of experience and emerging talent. Ending their storied careers as Seahawks were seniors Sena Nakamura, Asahi Fukuura, Bijay Pun, Japan Kittayachaiyawat, Kenshin Ushikubo, and Haruto Kagei. They were supported by juniors Rafael Jung and Rishi Sharma.

**Lady Seahawks: An Emerging Powerhouse**

The girls’ team, significantly improving since their 6th place finish at the ISB tournament, mirrored the boys’ success in pool play, securing victories against Shrewsbury Team B, Potisarn Pittayakorn, and Bangkok Prep. They continued their winning form in the playoffs, overcoming Shrewsbury Team A and International School Myanmar in the semifinals. The championship game saw them put up a fierce fight against St. Andrew’s Bangkok, eventually earning a respectable second place.

The girls’ roster showcased a diverse mix of players, including senior Bianca Castillo; juniors Ally Gu, Jimin An, and Preme Mongkolprasert; sophomores Alia Abdelwahab, An Fukuura, Alisa Kupari, Hayeon Kim, Yebin Sung; and freshmen Aom Vetchayanvivat, Hrishika Bhattacharya, and Amy Park.

On Thursday, October 12, the Thong Lo campus’ first fire drill of the year was a remarkable display of preparedness and discipline. The commitment of both students and staff to safety and the successful execution of the drill reaffirm the school’s dedication to maintaining a secure environment for its community. As we move forward, the invaluable lessons learned from this exercise will continue to shape the culture of safety within the campus.
Students, without exception, exhibited maturity and responsibility as they evacuated their classrooms with remarkable speed, all while maintaining a calm and orderly environment. There was no pushing, shoving, or panic, which speaks volumes about the discipline and preparedness of both students and the staff.
The success of any fire drill depends not only on the swift evacuation but also on the accountability of every individual. In this regard, the teachers and assistants played a crucial role. They efficiently organized students by class into well-defined lines at the designated assembly point. Their meticulous approach ensured that no one was left behind, as they took attendance and confirmed that every student was accounted for. This level of organization instills confidence that the school community is well-prepared to handle emergencies.
In addition to being a practical exercise in fire safety, the fire drill served as a valuable learning experience for both students and staff. By participating in this drill, they gained a firsthand understanding of the importance of preparedness and teamwork during critical moments. The positive and responsible behavior exhibited during the exercise is a testament to the effectiveness of the school’s safety protocols and the commitment of the Thong Lo community to the well-being of its members.
With the successful execution of this fire drill, the Thong Lo campus has set a high standard for preparedness and safety. On a bright and sunny day, Wells Thong Lo school grounds were transformed into a vibrant arena of excitement and friendly competition as students from nursery through grade 2 came together for an unforgettable Sports Day. The air was filled with laughter, cheers, and the spirit of friendship as our four teams, donning the colors green, red, blue, and yellow, showcased their talents and sportsmanship. This exhilarating event not only celebrated our love for sports but also fostered unity among our young and enthusiastic students. We are immensely proud of our students’ participation and achievements, and we look forward to many more unforgettable Sports Days in the years to come.

Wells Thong Lo | Songkran Splash Festival 2023

Songkran is Thailand’s most famous festival and a favorite here at Wells Thong Lor. Every year our school community works together to make it a success and this year was no exception. To mark the beginning of the traditional Thai New Year Wells students from all over the globe paid respect to and celebrated Thai culture. They performed traditional Thai dances before participating in the water ceremony, where students wished their teachers a happy Songkran in the traditional way by pouring water and jasmine petals over their hands. Songkran is a time to cleanse and pay respects but also to let loose in wild water fights. The support staff at Wells Thong Lor worked extremely hard in transforming our school playground into a water park. The students and teachers made their way around a variety of events including the ‘slip n slide’, ‘pool games, and ‘water slide’, not forgetting the ‘��ܲ԰�’ where students got the chance to dunk their teacher, this proved to be a favorite. Thank you to all our students, parents, teachers, and support staff at Wells Thong Lor! What a fantastically fun Songkran full of smiles, laughter, and a lot of water! Wishing all of our families a wonderful and safe holiday. We will see you on Monday 17th April. ��

This is one of the many events we have during our reading month and this is an opportunity for our students and teachers to have fun and put on costume parades, reading activities, run competitions and tell stories to inspire. Reading and the love of books can transform the lives of young students. Reading month aims to ignite the love of reading and literature for everybody.

Wells Thong Lo | Halloween 2022

�ۿ۴�ý Thong Lo and Wells On Nut grades 1-2 had a mystical and bone-chilling time at our annual Halloween event. We channeled our inner spooky and cute Halloween characters as we danced to the tunes of our favorite Halloween hits, followed by a school-wide fashion show to present their “boo-tiful” costumes, and bravely walked through a haunted house! Students joined together to participate in various Halloween activities throughout the day. It was a very memorable day for all of our students, teachers, staff, and parents. We would like to thank everyone who made this event so spooktacular!
