K1 Team

At ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ Bang Na campus, our little learners in K1 are beginning to explore how stories and songs are a form of expressive communication. Story time is a classroom favorite! It encourages our little learners to interact with the story. To foster a love for reading, our K1 learners are paired once a week with reading buddies from grade 2, to engage in new and familiar books together.  Our little learners benefit from hearing stories read-aloud through active modeling of reading fluency, phrasing and expression; having conversations with an older student about topics that interest them; and promoting positive experiences in our school community.

The K1 students are now able to act out some of their favorite stories as well as discuss important plot points with peers. The students have had the opportunity to share their favorite books from home. This was a great exercise for expressing and discussing different interests. Many students were eager to share what they brought and could explain the key aspects of their book. We are all excited to explore more exciting and intriguing stories!
