Father’s Day is celebrated on December 5th which is the birthday of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the monarch of Thailand. He was born in 1927 and died on October 13th, 2016.

¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ – On Nut held a special ceremony in honor of His Majesty the Late King Bhumibol Adulyadej to remember his birthday, Father’s Day and National Day in Thailand. On December 1st, our campus held a ceremony to celebrate fathers and let students show love for their fathers and father figures. Our American Sign Language (ASL) Club and High School choir performed a song called ลมหนาว or ‘Love in spring’, which has a deep meaning made by King Rama 9. Then Mr.Brian Salter Townsend gave a meaningful speech about ‘Father’s Day’, followed by his sons, Patrick (Class of 2024) and Sean (Class of 2029) also give a heartfelt speech to their father.

Additionally, we had another adorable performance to ‘I Love My Daddy’ from the primary students in Grade 2. Lastly, a video presentation about Father’s Day was presented by some of the High School students. It was a beautiful ceremony to celebrate this important figure, as well as other father figures, in everyone’s life. Happy Father’s Day to all!

Thai and Thai culture class activities 

In Thai and Thai culture primary classes, students decorated cards for their fathers. In middle school, students made 3D Pop-up Projects about “The Royal Projects of King Rama IXâ€� and decorated their Father’s Day Pop-up Cards. High school students also decorated cards for their fathers.

On December 2nd, Wells On Nut hosted a ceremony to celebrate fathers and let student show love for their fathers. Our high school choir sang the song ‘You raise me up’, which was followed by a performance by Dr.Peng and Arya (Grade 2A) about ‘Father’s love’. Deven (Grade 7A) also gave a speech about ‘Father’s love’. Finally, Grade 1 danced to ‘My dad song’.

Due to the pandemic circumstances this year, we did not hold our annual Father’s Day assembly. Instead, each grade level celebrated in their own way with activities relating to this year’s theme, ‘My Special Memory’.

In primary school, students decorated cards for their fathers, whereas in middle school, students decorated frames to put photos of special memories in and give it as a present to their fathers. In high school, students decorated a father’s day poster online and shared it with their parents. of the compiled work of the students!

The Wells Thai Department wishes every father and father figure a Happy Father’s Day!

Our ceremony concluded with announcements of the winners of certificates for most creative and eco-friendly Loy Krathongs and Loy Krathong posters. Congratulations to our creative and eco-friendly young minds!
